Man my hormones are doing a dive right about now. I am at 380 and trying to accept that at one end of the spectrum I am a success that I have lost 180 lbs from a top weight of 560. ANother part of me says Yes but you're still at 380 and look at how fat you are and your losing like 3 lbs a month. I see the success other people had and I am really glad you all have done so well and on the other end I am a little bit jealous because only on the Internet. Then you add all of the drama we have had lately and it makes sad to see people leaving but I understand that people are upset because this is OUR forum aand it shouldn't be tampered with.. I don't post a lot but I read constantly and I have been on here since 1999 so I don't want to leave. That's a long time for me to be a part of anything. Oh well I'll get off my freaking soapbox now. I just need to kill something or start some trouble. Maybe I'll wander over to the DS board and post a RNY question and get them stirred up

Hi there: Please don't feel down. Your body does not like so much change and try to keep the weight. Another thing you may want to do is keep an eye on the amount of sodium you consume. I had the same problem for quite a while. When I gave up table salt, MSG, store and restaurant foods things got back to normal. (ok things are tasting kinda bland but what the heck). Cheer up, eh? You've Made Awsome progress that many would kill for! Keep at it. Keep those eyes on the horizon! I've been here since '02 And will be till they kick my azz out. (And if they do, I'll e-mail you from my new digs!) I'm a multi-board visitor, Have been, and like it. Each place has it's own attraction. You wouldn't order Pizza at the Mexican Restaurant ... Or Mooshu Pork from Bertucci's... Here's a Great place for guys to give each other props, Some go, some stay, others do both all the time. YOU Keep on losing that 3 a month, And we'll encourage you to make it 4 next month. Looking back at where you started? Dam impressive! Keep it Up! Best Wishes- Dx Some go, some stay, others do both all the time.YOU Keep on losing that 3 a month,And we'll encourage you to make it 4 next month.Looking back at where you started?Dam impressive!Keep it Up!

I went over to the Rants and Rave Board. Man we are amateurs compared to those people. I actually feel a little better. I am still down but know I will  be up soon.. It's just hormones and the stress of the day and being back at work after two days off etc.

btw, I hate to bring up the "R' word, but have you thought about a revision?  (e.g. longer common limb, Rose or Stomaphyx procedures?)  ..  or even   yes    the big DS?

It would be Revision Number 4 (TADA) if I did it which I can't because the freaking employer has an exclusion with all our ins that specifically excludes all types of weight loss surgery. I have been on this board since 1999 with wls abck when vitalady and vitadon we're first getting started so I have had my share of vitamin deficiency staple disruption. Had a gb operation and even a gastrectomy in 2004. I am fated to be el grande nacho

No need to feel down. You have done great. Losing 180 lbs is no small feat and hey you are still losing 3 lbs a month. No reason I can see to think about revision because your RNY is still working. Maybe to speed things up you need to modify what you are eating and your exercise program. Also a person will hit plateaus during weight loss where the body goes into starvation mode and tries to hang on to all its reserves. This too will end.

Keep up the good work and remember you are still a loser.

Work is for those who don't know how to fish.
