About a week ago the show "THE BIGGEST LOOSER" came to town to do another casting. I had auditoned about 3 years ago after my 1st bid for surgery was crushed by the insr.. BCBS Bas...
Anyway, A friend of mine talked me in to going over and audtioning again. I didnt think anything about it I just went for suppose figured they didnt want me the first time why would they want me NOW??? Right. The were casting couples and a body really wanted to go down and try to get on the show. So I went with. For HOURS I waited in that LINE. Finnally got to the end and met with the same pinched faced skinny M.... F.. that turned me down the first time. I thought it was LOST.. But we sat and chatted for a while they asked a bunch of questions and took a photograph or two or three..
A few days pass I forgot about it.. Today passes I honestly couldnt remember the day we went. Today when I off work I get a CELL PHONE MESSAGE from the producers of "THE BIGGEST LOOSER" I also got home to a letter in the mail from them they want to cast me and my friend in the show. WHAT DO I DO?? Do I do it and put off surgery.. Or do I say no and really disappoint my friend (who cant get approved for surgery) *****ALLY wants to do that and continue with my plan???????????????????????????????????

I would be the one they would pic.. I am inclined to agree with you.. The only thing I think thats stopping me is the work I have done just to get approved. I havent even gotten there yet. It might be worth the shot Ha.... But, I'd have to show the man boobs on national televission. Is the world ready for these. I could make it an R rated version?

The work you've done to have surgery already will still be there after you do the show. The only thing you have to worry about is your insurance company and your surgery date...I think you should do the show personally, but it is your decision...I just hope all the other guys back me up ;-)

I agree.  If you get voted off the island early, at least youwill go into surgery in better health and stand a good chance of a better recovery.  Good luck and I look forward to seeing you on the tube.  I really find that show motivating.

This is  VERY TRUE and one of the reasons I cant JUST SAY NO.. I have to think about it. But, I have always been a DO OR DIE kind of person. If I do either ,,,,  for me it would be 100% commitment or NOTHING.... Its just a really funny time to be given such a choice.

I know I know women are NOT supposed to post on the Men's forum....
BUT---I just met this past week Julie Hadden, a runner up in the 2007 Biggest Loser... she was voted off VERY early in her season... yet came home and went on to lose the MOST weight of all the contestants that season. She went from 218- 118 lbs. She was a "lightweight" to start with... but had the greatest % of weight loss.
She told us it was the HARDEST thing she'd ever, EVER done.. It's physically and emotionally grueling...You are in the gym 6-8 hours per day.. .working with trainers. Then there are the competitions. The trainers are worse than any USMC drill Sgt. EVER could be....
So.... if YOU really want to go on Biggest Loser---then do it.
Losing Weight no matter HOW you do it, is hard.
If you've been approved and have a surgery date already scheduled---I'd be very hesitant....
But if you are still in the long long process....
Only you can decide...friend or not---this is about YOU right now.

We were given a little speach about what its like once on the show. I personally think its about time I got a little a_ _ kicken.. So thats not the problem.. But, after all this work JUST TO TRY AND GET APPROVED now that I can see the prize waiting for me at the other end. (sustainable weight loss) I dont know what I'll do. But, thanks for the input. And as far as Im concered you can post with me ANYTIME dont be shy.
