My first FART.
Hey Hans,
You're actually doing very well, so enjoy it and give yourself a break by trying not to compare your progress to other guys. I know that's not easy, but we're all different ages, body composition, etc.
I bet there was a time not too long ago when wearing size 50 pants would have been a dream!
Congrats!

You're right about the thrift stores Jacob, I went from a size 58/60 last summer to a size 38/40 today. I bought a bunch of (like 6 pairs) like new cargo shorts and stuff at a thrift shop at the beginning of the summer and it only cost me like $16. And most of them are baggy on me now and I have to use a belt. Gotta start going in there and hunting for some pants for winter. Jeans are easy though, even if you can't find any good used ones, you can get a decent pair of new jeans at Walmart for like $15.
Speaking of which, I have a whole bunch of very big winter jackets to donate this winter. A couple of guys at work are big still and they may get a couple, but the others will go to the homeless shelter or to the clothes closet at group.
