Who da thunk it.
29" waist?!?!?! I think I had a 29" waist for about a millisecond in 1980 after I'd reached 135# after starving myself!
When I read fantastic success stories such as yours, I don't know whether to applaud or cry; maybe both. At 8 months out, I've lost 105# and feel great, but I still qualify for WLS, which really burns me!
Anyway, congats; you deserve it!

Yep. I went in last week on Tuesday AM, had the surgery, and was released home on Friday afternoon. Started my outpatient physical therapy yesterday. So far, so good (aside from a 12 pound post-op (water) weight gain!) Little pain or discomfort (I bounced back a LOT sooner after this than with RNY surgery), am now walking with crutches, and I'll be happy when I'm completely healed up and walking without any assistive device. They say it takes ~6 weeks or so.
Thanks for asking!
