I noticed a marked improvement of erections after losing a hundred pounds so yes, I'm sure to a degree ED is corrected. I'm a type 1 diabetic.

I will try not to be crude, but I will share what has happened to me.  Just for the record, to give some info to the other guys here...Not talking about stud monkey type of things, but what has honestly happened.

The last year or so before WLS I started to have some problems performing.  Not much, but on certain times there would be problems ( I was about 5" 11" at 290#...A lightweight for WLS...No diabetes).  As I started to lose the weight after WLS I started to have less and less problems in that area.  It got so good at I would wake up in the morning with a boner (like a teenager)!  I hadn't done that in 10 to 20 years.  No problems getting it up or functioning now.  Also you might be aware of how less weight (fat) at the base by the penis makes it appear longer.  I know how these stories can spread over the internet and it seems the crudest type of people will come out of the woodwork for these issues.  Before when guys would bring it up I would just use small phrases like "Yes it's true".  So yes...a lot of what you probably have heard through rumors, is probably true.  Brian

I'm not diabetic, but I was having enough circulation problems when I was 450ish that I never really got seriously hard. I got what might be referred to as a chubby. Hard enough to stay in the hole, but not really satisfactgory. Since I busted under the 300 mark though things have improved in this area. I'm not saying that I'm sporting the diamond hard stuff of my teens and twenties, but it's not to shabby. What I'm seeing manifested in my penis, improved circulation wise, is going on in the rest of my body also which makes me think I might live a while longer rather than stroke out at 55.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Oh yeah a BIG difference. Before surgery I had big time E.D. Now 115 lbs lighter I have no problem in that department.  I got my MOJO back

Yes when I was super morbidly obese, no more after weight loss. Another blessing courtesy of WLS.

Bopper,

Remember on this board "E.D." has two meanings.  The first the way you intended it and secondly as in "Explosive Diarrhea"!   To answer your question though with loosing 100 plus pounds preformance is much better!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Educational organizations, often use the domain .ed . On a funny note, to try and avoid the tons of spam these .ed organizations get (often ads for E.D. cures), they sometimes drop the ".ed" from mail addresses. My own organization's IT department recently blushed when I commented that most of the spam WAS in fact E.D. related, so it might be a good idea get rid of the .ed.
