My legs (especially the right leg, which had the hip replacement) still look like sausages, and I'm still holding onto a TON of water, almost 2 weeks after my surgery. It's really annoying!

I weighed last Wednesday, 8/6/08, and the scale read 272.2. That's a loss of exactly 10lbs from the previous time I weighed which was on 7/26/08. Ten pounds in eleven days at 8 months out? I'll take it. Of course the down side is that I probably won't lose but 2 or 3 lbs from now until the next time I weigh which will be on 8/26/08. Anyways....I'm down 183 lbs from my first consult and 170 lbs from the day of surgery on 11/26/07.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
I didn't notice any retention but I do know as soon as I stopped taking it the scale moved for me so I'm just not going to take it anymore. I don't know if that's the definitive reason but at this point I can't be taking anything that counter-effects my weight loss surgery it's just not worth it to me. Even though Lyrica is a pretty good drug for nerve pain I'd just rather with the nerve pain and by thin.
We're having Sunday on Monday here in Washington.
Pre-surgery (and high point): 332
Surgery (7/28/08): 324
Today: 308
This week: 5 pounds
Not bad. The doc told me not to even worry about weight loss until after my first fill (I'm lap-banded), but so far I feel full after eating really small portions. I understand that may change, so -- oh well.
I'm no longer "morbidly" obese, just obese! I was carrying a load of stuff into the bedroom last night, and my pants actually fell off. Good week.
