ok probably not what you want to be discussing on a sunday morning, but when can I expect to have a bm. I am not real concerned because I did a bowel prep before the surgery  on 8/5. the only thing I have had since surgery is liquids. watered down juices, milk and broth at hospital and not in any great amounts. Since getting home friday afternoon I have started some protein drinks well blend soups and lots of liquids. So there is not a lot of bulk going in so, my theory not a lot coming out. Right? If I go a week with out going i will try some phillips milk of magnesium. I know something is working down there since I have enough gas to fill a blimp. any advice, thoughts........

Sounds like your right on track. Liquid in, liquid out. If you get to worrying to much call your surgeons office.

I think it was about 5-6 days before I had mine... I called my Dr and they said try some Milk of Mag, but I ended up doing it on my own that afternoon...

Everything's fine... you'll be droppin dueces in no time!

Took me 4 days to pass gas, 9 days for a BM and it was brutal. (pill for bowel prep did nothing for me).
