Yoga, 90 Minutes, 104 Degrees, 55% Humidity
Hey Guys,
Just tried Bikram Yoga and loved it. There are a lot of pros and cons toward this brand of yoga which is done in a 104 degree room at 55% humidy, but the people who do it, love it.
Here's a good Men's Health article on it:

Noticing some results today. I did the P90X Kenpo Karate DVD, Chest & Back DVD and half of the Legs & Back DVD. Noticeably less out of breath and pain perception during exercise has decreased quite a bit. In other words, even when I can feel my ribcage expanding widely and rapidly, it doesn't feel nearly as uncomfortable.
Best Wishes,
Dave
Surprisingly, some residual flexibility, even after one day has passed. Looking forward to the next session tomorrow. It's a holiday week here, so I'm doing stuff with the wife. Today I'll do the P90X Core Synergistics and Plyometrics routine then go out with the wife. Tomorrow will be a big upper body then Bikram Yoga day.
Best Wishes,
Dave
Hi Terry,
I was just about ready to post to everyone thanking you all for the "online training log space." No need to thank me. Just posting about it keeps me excited (as do the scantily clad yogesses - "Yogins" is it? Praise the Lord that men here don't like yoga!).
...Also hoping that with the number of lurkers here that I might somehow in some way positively influence someone.
After your cycling season is done or if you have a one week break, might be a good time to try Bikram. If you still have a ride or two left it might decrease your perceived exertion. I'm not sure if it causes physiological adaptation or if it's simply psychological - maybe the lesser discomfort becomes less noticeable? Then, there may be some synergy with all of the P90X combinations.
Good luck in the races, rides. Those are also extreme and an inspiration to us all.
Best Wishes,
Dave
