Wicked hiccups

Are hiccups a sign of anything omnious?

Possibly that you're eating too fast

Too Fast, or a bite too much.
Also can cause runny nose.... 

For me, hiccups were (are) always a precursor to the foamies then puking. Never fails, I eat the wrong thing or eat too fast, then I first get the hiccups, then my mouth fills up with saliva and I have to start spitting (foamies), then I end up puking. Pretty interesting actually why I first get the hiccups. Never have been able to figure that one out.
