NOT A HERNIA BUT A......

Hematoma. When I went to the surgeon today to have the staples removed he took a look at the large egg shaped knott and said it wasn't a hernia but a hematoma he then took a large needle and drew off a large amount of old nasty blood. The nurse said it may come back but if it does it will absorb back into the body over time. The surgeon said I was down 22 pounds since surgery. The nut wants me to get more calories and protien in. Other then that I need to start walking more and in a few days I can use the stationary bike and start swimming. It feels great to have those staples out and no more bandages under my girdle I am still stuck with the girdle for 4 more weeks and 2more weeks of mushies before I start eating real food again. I go back to see the surgeon at the three month mark. I can't wait! this is going to be one wild ride.
