breakthrough FART
I started training for my Super Sprint Triathlon today, which in itself is a feat. I decided to try the bike --> run transition just to see what I'm going to be up against.
I biked the five miles pushing it pretty quickly. Then, I jumped off the bike and landed on jell-0 legs! I couldn't believe how much harder running is after you've biked five miles.
I thought for sure I wasn't going to make the mile, so I told myself it would be an accomplishment to make the end of the block. Well, I pushed and pushed and pushed and finished the whole mile. So, 5 mile bike to 1 mile run.
I felt SO accomplished afterward. Not in the distances, well, that too, but the fact that I really wanted to quit, but I kept going and made myself finish.
I can't wait to encorporate the swim into that feeling
