Has anyone had any problems with "Cream of ..." soups?
I dont have my surgery for another 3 weeks, but I'm making a list of foods to try for post op diet.

First and foremost, good luck with your banding!
Once my doctor allowed me to graduate from the liquid diet to soft foods, tomato soup made w/equal portions water/skim milk (cream of tomato?) and cream of potato soup were my mainstays for a few weeks.  You might also try cream of wheat and grits, too, as these are quite filling in smaller portions.  Once you are back on 'real' food, you'll probably want to drop them from your diet as they are high calorie/carb.  However, I still enjoy the tomato soup from time to time.

I had no problems with cream soups.  I have a magic bullet and pureed everything for the first weeks.  Each surgeons time is different.

Craig,

like the others are saying I've never had a problem with any type of food. but like everything else you'll be having it in smaller amounts and eat it slowly.

Best of luck with you're banding.
