The kind of support you can expect from "batwingsman"
I must be brain dead because I see nothing wrong with his post. Can't someone share about a problem with their surgery? And, must they file that complaint on every forum they go to use?
I don't know why you bothered to post here. I'm sure that you know that this is the Men's Forum and we do try to support each other here. Why knock a guy for having had a difficult time with his surgery? I swear I must be missing something here.

In addition to the men vs women conflict on OH, there seems to be a DS vs RNY conflict as well. Although I never hear anyone on the RNY board talking down about DS surgery. But a number of DS-ers are DS evangelists and proselytize on several of the boards. Apparently Paul or counselor or batwingsman is one of them. Galen posted about his complications from RNY surgery and Paul copied the post to some other forum trying to scare people away from having RNY surgery. The person that originated this thread thought that was particularly rude and came here to tell on him.
The problem is, they're all acting like junior high schoolers (except, of course, Galen). It's childish and downright mean for batwingsman to do what he did. Then it was silly for someone to think copying it again here would cause any changes. And that prompted the same idiotic misogyny and name calling that happens whenever someone with breasts (and not just moobies) posts in this forum. (I am so sick of hearing "tuna" and wish everyone here were grownups!)
It's really all quite stupid and often threatens the usefulness of the site as a whole, at least to me.

You're right Bob,
It's like the Windows vs. Mac thing. Certain personalities just can't let it lay and say, "It's only an appliance." They have to fall in love with the tool choice they've made.
I think I've fallen in love with pretending it's not the surgery, but my own actions that have made me thin. I love delusion.
Best Wishes,
Dave
Someone posts a message explaining that a member is a tool, and they get attacked? As much as I was looking forward to the support theoretically possible from other men who've been through what I'm about to experience, I can't be part of this kind of hatred and anti-female sentiment.
Good luck to all of you; I hope I can find some less spiteful guys somehwere else.
