Jamba Juice a no-no
My wife wanted a Jamba Juice today (that's a chain here that makes non-fat yogurt or fruit frozen drinks, or carrot juice, etc.
I figured I could get one if I made 'em leave stuff out. Like carbs, or fruit. So, mine was nonfat yogurt, chocolate flavoring and soy milk. Dumb. The chocolate flavoring much have been loaded with sugar. About half an hour after I drank a small one, sipping it over 20-30 minutes, I felt like crap. Dizzy, weak, sweating big time. I laid down and moaned for about an hour, and in two hours was feeling better.
I guess just had to experience it. Once.
Be warned, my friends. Protein good. Sugar/carbs bad.

That was a semi dump. It didn't include diarrhra, but the sugar went into the small intestine so fast it caused the problem. Good!! Your WLS tool works!! You learn fast on that one, sorry to say. But hopefully you've learned. Brian PS Test everything new slowly. Say "pouch (assuming you had RNY) do you like this"? Wait a few minutes and see how he feel about it. He'll let you know soon enough.
I have no problem downing a smoothie from Jamba Juice or from Robeks. At first I did the all-fruit ones without the yogurt but I found that the yogurt one goes down just as good.
I know it's not a good thing but I only do it in place of a meal and only once in a great while (I've probably had 4 or 5 in the six months since surgery). I always get the protein boost in the smoothie so at least I'm getting something out of it other than satisfying my tastebuds.
