Well,   this was one of the better meetings I've had with him in a while.  I weighed in at 268 with clothes on (shoes, belt, dress coat, tie, etc....).  My BP was 110 over 70 (he checked it twice).  I am now allowed to DC bp medicine, high cholesteral meds, (already off of prilosec since I don't have acid reflux anymore).

It was also great to be able to tell him I haven't been drinking any alcohol either.  I was worried about missing my beer, but it doesn't seem to be a problem for me and I am committed to abstaining for at least 1 year.

I have also been noticing people (mostly women) at work giving me the eye from head to toe.  I called one of them on it today and she laughed.

Feeling pretty damn good four weeks since surgery!

All right way to go. Just make sure we don't see any sexual harassment suits about in the papers.

Good for you.  Doesn't it feel good to not have the PCP seeming to be disapointed in you!

That is so freaken awesome!!!!!!! CONGRATS ..esp on the fine women checking you out, nothing says weight loss then getting the "look".

As for the priolsec...I could be wrong but don't most RNYer have to take it long term? I thought it's to keep the acid in the blind stomach at bay? ......again I could be completley off base, and I'm sure some different surgeons have different protocols.

I  haven't heard anything about the prilosec as you say, but will bring it up with my surgeon on Friday when I meet the bariatric team for follow up.  Thanks for letting me think about it.
