OT: More on buying a bicycle

I asked my brother for info about buying a really good quality bike at a decent price.  He wholeheartedly recommends www.bikesdirect.com .  He said that they have excellent service and that their bikes are about 1/2 the cost of something similar in bike shops.  They come requiring some assembly but that no special skills are needed ( unless you're totally inept like me).  One note he has mad in the past is that higher end bikes do not come with pedals.

Please note:  These are fine bikes and most of you wouldn't need them as your first bike following WLS.  But, once you start doing serious riding, it's a good place to go.  Check out the site because they have a vast number of bikes for various purposes.

I concur with what you said above.  I purchased my Motobecane from that site in April.  From order to delivery, flawless.  The MTB rides like a champ...and I am very hard on it too.
