Did a search in Science Daily and found lots of articles, including some on the hormonal changes from fat making to fat burning that occur:

Hope the link is interesting/ helpful. I find that site to be a lot more interesting than the news.

There's some great articles in your link, Dave. Thanks. I read with great interest the article regarding obesity and Downs Syndrome since my oldest daughter has Downs.

Hi Boner,

Glad to hear that you found some interesting ones. I think I read that article about Downs and the obesity gene. That's one additional challenge that people with Downs don't need, for sure.

There are entire sections on weight loss and fitness as well as for cancer and other diseases too. Not sure why I like that site so much. Just my inner (outer maybe?) nerd coming through, I guess.

Best Wishes, (font problems with Google Chrome, but the browser is FAST!)

Hey Dave,

You're right about: "That's one additional challenge that people with Downs don't need, for sure."

That's one of the big reasons why Special Olympics is such a great program and why it was so heartening to me to see our WLS brother in Canada coaching a Special Olympics softball team.
