I got a date

Well,

After month and month of going to Dr's offices for surgery I fainally got my date for RNY 09/24/2008. I'm so excited. The best part is I was approve the next day. Any advice?

Wow that was super fast! Not much advice except follow what you've been reading everyone talk about on here and of course your doctor's wishes which are infinitely more important than what we have to say. But having been there and done that I'll just say good luck and get ready for some amazing moments in the coming months. One of my personal favorite moments was when I could finally hold my stomach in and not have it droop over anything, talk about exciting!

Yeah and not have SO much fat poke through. Still have some belly, but it's shrinking thankfully. And then of course the changes in the pelvic region are quite nice as well if you catch my drift haha.

Fantastic news GD!! Sept 24 will be here before you know it. Be sure to follow all of your doctors orders and listen to what your NUT advises you to eat. Stay with the program and you will have no problem. And if you have any questions...the guys in the locker room are a super support and info group! We will be anxiously waiting for you on our loser's bench...so keep us informed!! Good luck!! John

Congrats! I am almost a month out - I waited about 6 months for my approval. Great job!! Follow the doctors orders and stay focused on your health. I was amazed at how quickly my health has seen dramatic changes. Go get em!

Congrats on your approval. If you haven't yet started a pre-WLS diet and exercise program, you should. It'll make the post-WLS transition easier and, imo, you'll be more successful over the long haul in losing AND keeping off the weight.

Congrats!!! The time is going to fly right buy. It feels like just yesterday that I got my approval. It was actually about 2 1/2 months ago. My surgery is Monday morning. I'm not sure it ha**** me yet that it's only 2 days away.

If theres anything we can do for you, just ask.....
