6 months out!
I have the new Google web browser trying it out so my font won't increase on here b/c their stupid tech guys won't hurry up and put the new codes in. But anyway, I digress haha.
Okay, so I went in the other day for my 6 month check up and I had labs drawn and I saw my dietician and all that good junk. Today I called the office and they said that all of my lab work was fine so I was happy. But I'm one of those neurotic people who like to know numbers and ranges of results so I was pissed that they just said "oh it's normal" and didn't give me the ranges of everything. Oh well, I'm sure I'll live. But I'm super happy that everything has gone so smoothly. I got on their scale for my official weight and it said 237 which is 95lbs down from my surgery and I'm at 60% of my excess weight loss or whatever. Here's hoping I get that other 40% off!!!

you have the right to requrest your labs....the ranges will be right on it. You actually should track your own labs long term, so you can look for trends...because long term you will see trends develop like b-12 dipping, and while it's still normal or low normal you can add additional suppliments to prevent deficiency.
There are several good tracking sheets available on OH..(the DS forum people have several versions) or you can make your own on excel

I don't know......I never ask...I tell them to send me a copy of my labs. In NYS, I have a legal right to all of my medical documents....they can charge a nominal fee (i.e. for copying) but otherwise it's yours for the asking. Call your surgeons office Monday, tell them you want a copy mailed to you for your files.

Congrats on the checkup results, Lance. I too am anal about the "numbers" so I always request a copy of the labs and they mail them to me. As a matter of fact, I just had my 3 years checkup on Wednesday and I'll be getting back my results in the mail next week. Since I'm over 50, I had a PSA blood test run to look for any cancer so I'll be interested to check out how that test works.
Seeing all the other vitamin/mineral results over the last several years has allowed me to really dial in my vitamin program (e.g. B-12 every day vs. twice weekly as recommended by my nut, no difference in less costly Sam's vitamins vs. Bariatric Advantage, etc.)

Great Job Lance!
I too like to know my numbers they should provide you a copy hell your paying for it!
Vandy has everything on line which is convenient you can pull up your labs and any history of labs through you secure code 24/7. Your able to e-mail any questions they respond way quicker then a phone message plus your able to reread it avoiding misunderstanding. I think its a great service more and more hospitals, doctor offices are going to it maybe its available at yours?
