I'm gonna shoot the ******* scale
I took the oldest to see the doctor today because he had an ear infection. Now I
have been trying really hard to do low carb and do shakes and vitamins etc. So I
thought I would do my weekly weigh in. Their scale is my official one. They
spent the better part of an hour adjusting it so I finally gave up and went to sit
outside and wait, Well they finally let me in to weigh and WTF
I GAINED 5-6 lbs. I was
freakin out. Keys were out of pockins, all money on table etc
Now I have been around long enough I know all the rules about water weight, muscle etc. I had on skinny clothes too.
So if I took a gun and shot the scale is it justifiable homicide. I am chalking it up to partly they don't know to adjust a ****** scale. I wanted to eat the rest of the ****** day.
SCALES bring out my OCD ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH LOL

it could be that you didn't take a good poop in the morning...and your full of ****lol...or that your PMSing and retaining water, which by the way would in some states give you the right to tote a gun and shoot the scale...ROFL.
Take it with a grain of salt man...it's no biggie.....I can vary 5 lbs in a day just because the stars aren't alliged right.

Hang in there Snick,
When I was back in Iowa, Big Boner wanted me to weigh on his frickin' grain scales which he said were "accurate to within' a nats ass" or something to that effect. I said no frickin' way as I get pretty neurotic about me and my scales.
I had my 3-year official weigh-in on Wednesday at the docs and weighed 4 pounds more than I did that morning on my "official" scales. I was frickin' bummed the rest of the afternoon as well.
Looks like I've got some work to do on the exercise front this weekend since, unlike you, my eating is starting to get out of control lately. Seems like every time I have some huge "ballbuster" cycling ride like last weekends', Ride the Buffalo 100 miler, I'm frickin' starved for the next week or so.
Best,
Boner

Did you gain the weight? One day I was curious about why I weight a couple of pounds less at home than at the Doc's. Well I weighed my self 6 or 8 times one day. When I first got up, after using the bathroom, after eating and before bed. During the day my weight varied from a low of 249 to a high of 257! 8 pounds! Also like Lance pointed out clothing can change your weight by a little bit.
I just stick with my scale at home, it must be reasonably accurate as it is very close to the Doc's scale (there were some times I really wondered if theirs added a couple of pounds for the insurance company, my BP was always higher their also (must have been the scales fault also!
)). Stick with one scale, weigh at the same time with the same conditions and get the general idea of what is happening with your weight.
The number on the scale is not as important as how you are feeling.
Good luck.
Jim
