I did really well with EAS AdvantEdge and Carnation Instant Breakfast (no sugar added) drinks. I was not hungry during that time - just wanted to chew. Hang in there - you can find lots of stuff to drink!

Well I have a culinary back ground , and I made a lot of beef stock and chicken stock . I also used unjury pro powder( chocolate )

I wont lie though , I was hungry enough to eat the a-hole out of a skunk by time my surgery came around . I just kept telling myself that its only for two weeks and I can do this  .
Best of luck

Rest assured you're going to be hungry on a liquid diet without the benefit of WLS but do your best to stick with it since it'll be great preparation for you new life post-WLS. Protein shakes, veggie and fruit juices, jello, soups and water are the basis of any liquid diet.

Best of luck,

Boner

You'll be hungry.  No need in lying about it.  Just keep your eye on the prize.  It'll be worth it!

Wear the hunger like a badge of honor.  When it is all over, you will take pride in the fact that you did something very good for yourself and helped to make your surgery go better.

I was on a liquid diet for 4 weeks.  I think the secret is that you want to have ultra low carbs.  The first two or three days were hard and then it was ot all that bad.  I had Medifast shakes, herbal tea (no caffiene, no sweetners (i.e. splenda, sweet and low, equal), water and an occasional broth.  I really was not all that hunger on the Medifast after the first couple of days and I was on about 400 calories a day.  This sure let me know that I could easily survive on the limited calories after surgery.

Good luck, I am sure you will do fine on the liquid diet.
