2 month stall

Although I visit every day, this is my first post in a while.  I'm 8 months out from my RNY and I've lost ~80 lbs, currently at 225 lbs..  I feel great and have had no complications whatsoever.  In fact, when reading all of the posts, it's scary how well things have gone for me.  My problem is, I have lost and regained the same 3 lbs. for the last two months.  I have had a 2+ month stall.  Also, it seems to be taking more food to reach the "full" feeling.  I'm a little concerned that maybe I've stretched my pouch.  I'm thinking of trying the 5 Day Pouch Test.  Anyone had any success with this, and is it realistic to think I may have stretched my pouch already ?  Any suggestion on how to get back to losing would be appreciated.

You shouldn't be eating until full, you should already know the size of the servings you need to eat and put them on a small plate..  It is still ok to throw food away.  The 2 month stall is normal, your body has been in shock for 8 months and needs to reset.  Stick to your doctors diet and kick up the physical activity a bit to get back to losing.

Good Luck,  Bob

I'm a little ahead of you, 9.5 months, and haven't stalled but the loss rate has certainly slowed down. Maybe a pound to 2 pounds per week.

My recomendation to you would be to start tracking every thing you put in your mouth and also your exercise. There are several websites that will allow you to do this with varying degrees of user friendliness. I use dailyplate.com but I don't know that it's better or worse than any of the others. When I first started tracking I was surprised to find out how many calories I was consuming and how many fat grams I was consuming. It took me a long time to get my fat calories under 50%. I've also found it to be helpful in motivating me to get off my ass and exercise. The website will give you a rough estimate of the number of calories you're burning through your exercise routine which is some nice positive feedback.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
