The solution? First eliminate foods that could be causing you gas.....dairy, veggies, and protein shakes, and artificial sweetners. Then start adding those foods back into your diet and figure out which food is causing you issues. If that doesn't work get a course of Flagyl. It's a narrow spectrum antibiotic that targets bacteria in the gut. Your PCP can prescribe it for you, if not you can get it OTC in the form of fishazole.

Will your gas get worse after surgery? Sure, malabsorbtion typically means more gas. But it doesn't have to be that much worse. Start being proactive now.

If you are lactose intolerent that could cause excess gas if you diet is high in lactose.  It can be hidden in many different foods.  I had found that the acidophillus tablets helped me.

Thank you all for your input on my the now relenting saga of my challenge to leave flagence behind.
Today it was REALLY BAD. The ladies at work came prepared though one brought a car air freshener, another a NICE BIG can of glade. And another was waring vics under her nose. (She didnt have a cold) Right now they're being understanding but, I just know they're plotting my murder if this keeps up. Watch for the report I will try them all. Just wait.

Update::: I received LOTS of suggestions as to how to gain control of this little embracing problem of mine.

Right now I am starting with the easiest one YOGURT... I have been MAKE SURE that I eat at least two srvngs of YOGURT per day. Today I have noticed a slight difference.. And the ladies I work with dont seam to be shooting me the stare as often. But, still a little gassy. Today someone did suggest CHAR COLE tablets???.. I have never heard of such a thing but, will be looking for them tomorrow. It was also suggested that I drink a glass of BAKING SODA and WATER once a day????? I think I'll skip that one. Not that I mind the suggestion but,,,,,  Hmmmm the thought just make my eyes water and lips pucker and I JUST CANT DO IT.

well again if ti's that bad that people are carrying air fresheners around you, it's time to go see your PCP and get a prescription of flagyl.

Charcoal tablets can be gotten at any natural food store, they actually take the funk out of the gas smell by absorbing some of the toxins in your body, they work for some people. You might also want to try a dose of pepto bismo in the morning, it does ruffly the same thing, plus regular use of it has an antibiotic effect.

The doctor has been consulted..... He state NOTHING from my medical chart could be causing it except the diet......................... He says it will prob subside after a while. He gave me a prescript,, that is supposed to help,, BUT,, its and expensive one.................... So Im going to give the natural ways a try first.  My date is TONIGHT so far with the yogurt alone,, its much better,  at least I will have a sec to excuse myself to go take care of it.

FART KING OUT!!!!!!!!!!

you should ask him for flagyl directly..the generic is cheap. But doing it the natural way is always best...but sometimes much slower (it takes time to repopulate gut flora).

HA its funny that you should mention that.. A friend at work who is also on a very strict diet recommended that as well. I've added it to my list... So far Knock on wood the Yogurt REALLY seams to be making a difference. Someone also messioned Flack Seed oil as another cheep remedy.. I'm going to go out a purchase some today.
