Dinner doesn't matter, do you like the person or not.  That's what matters.

Go have fun and enjoy yourself.

Let's ask the all-knowing light bulb!  It says if you like the person, what the hell.  Have fun, Michael

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my desperate need for attention says............ GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Light bulb is the part thats telling me MAYBE NOT A GOOD IDEA... I'll prob go.. I dont know if I like this person or not. We've met before but only in groups of people and both of us were attached the last time we saw one another. So honestly if we go to a restaurant that is less appealing to me then maybe I wont be tempted.. Ah see the light bulb is working now...

Food ruled your pre-WLS life, don't let it even HINDER your post. Go out. Be smart about it. Decide where you're going before hand and look at their menu. Ask the chef before the date if you're worried about something. be proactive about it!

And remember. no means no, and yes is worth it

So you're saying I should cut loose  go out have a good time and jus****ch what I eat.. AM I STRONG enough?? Is the question. As I said in a post above,, we dont have to go to a restaurant that I like. That might make things easier wouldnt it? Rights??????????

I didn't really say "cut loose". I said to have a plan. In my own experience, plans build strength. If I have to make a choice, there is where the possibility of a BAD choice comes into play. Those choices are where you can get nervous, too.

Go. Go and have a great time. Go and be yourself. But go knowing that you are going to do the right thing for your body, and soul. I wouldn't go to a restaurant you don't like, because I don't believe in ANY form of gastronomic punishment. Find a place you enjoy, then find something on the menu that works for you. If you both want to go to the fish 'n chips place...and it's ALL fried food there...eat the coleslaw and chew on a lemon. If you go to Applebee's, take something off the Weigh****cher's menu, the tilapia is great.

In my opinion, women like men with a plan anyhow. Like I said before. Decide on the place early. Do your research so you know what you're going to eat before you even get there. She doesn't have to know all this, but so what if she does?

Wherever you go, enjoy yourself. And...make the date more than eating. For God's sake, if we don't stop centering our social-life around food, we're never going to affect change in our lives. (not pointed at you directly, just philosophically)

As said already ; if you like the person then it should all fall in to place . Relaxxxx and go with the flow . Have fun
Best wishes

Haha! A sense of humor is way more important than any abs when it comes to getting chicks (and you're a pro, we know!)

Can you get a restaurant menu in advance? Plan ahead and just get the most pouch-friendly food on there.

Good Luck,

Dave
