I'm trying new browsers in order to download videos to My Zune and the IE plug in doesn't work for YOUTUBE

So far I have tried Flock, Firefox 3,

I have looked at Chrome but it still seems pretty basic

Thoughts my fellow geekies

I've had no trouble with Firefox, though there are 1 or 2 times I need to open up the Explorer.

Not sure about the new Fat Cat image for your Avatar.

I use Chrome in general, because it's so fast. But when I want to copy and paste photos into a forum, I use ie. Chrome sucks for that. Chrome also sucks with Hotmail.

Worst case scenario trying to copy and paste OH photos to the Quix site! (ie and especially Chrome!)

Just going by feel, Chrome feels like it moves twice as fast. What I thought was my internet connection was actually a bloatware browser.

At work, I only allow users to use IE and firefox.  I have used chrome and I love it, its speedy as anything, but it cant do things that IE can, and as said, hotmail, and any M$ related site will generally suck in it.  So we dont allow it, at least yet.  For the zune, you would think that IE would be the first choice due to the whole compatibilitity thing.  Dont have one though, so I am not an expert at all.

My order is
firefox
chrome
crappy IE

I ened up going with Firefox3 for right now. Since Zune uses windows media videos and FF# has a plug in it seemed to make the most sense.  It also let me keep my facebook and yahoo toolbars. My Google works with it also. Man am I a geek or what.

I also have a plugin that lets me download and keep many internet videos from YouTube and other places (in flash format).

That doesn't seem to be available (yet) in Chrome.

Just wanted to download this Eric Johnson bootie when I noticed:

It's pretty old, so he's still got a mullet. That might be d-bag or worse nowadays!

I just found out it's really simple. You just use this command regardless of browser, then change the extension of the downloaded file to .flv:

javascript:window.location.href = 'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=' + swfArgs['video_id'] + "&l=" + swfArgs['l'] + "&sk=" + swfArgs['sk'] + '&fmt_map' + swfArgs['fmt_map'] + '&t=' + swfArgs['t']

Where do I paste that. In the command line of the browser.
