IDGOMButt Weekend edition
Just getting ready to take off on my bike for a 100 miler up into the mountains. Beautiful day out here in Colorado. Need to be back at 1PM to watch the Buffs take on Florida State. Buffs rock....4 and 0 baby.
Big game for the Tide tonight Bama. Good luck against "uga". Defense should rule in that one. I'm pullin' for Georgia since their coach, Mark Richt, used to live 5 miles from me out here in Colorado. Sorry dude!!

Boner,
That's one hell of a ride. Way to get out there. Your post says "6:27 a.m." so if you're riding an average of 20-25 mph you should be make it and still have time for lunch. Sorry know nothing about TV sports.
As for me:
Saturday: Limited myself to one Bikram Hot Yoga Session
Today (now Sunday): One more morning Bikram Session, followed by and afternoon swim.
Best Wishes,
Dave

OK, I pulled off a mini sprint at the YMCA. I started with stationary bike for 30 minutes getting pushing it so that I was sweating and had my heart beat up around 140, I thne moved to the treadmill and did 22 minutes (13 minutes of running 10 minute mile). After that I went down to the pool and swam 10 laps up and back freestyle.
Stephan,
(did I call you Steven before?) Way to get into the workout. Mixing it up pays bigger dividends over doing the same exercise. That's what Crossfit and P90X are all about. I'm not sure if "Muscle Confusion" is a valid concept -perpetually changing exercises makes proof of the concept nearly impossible - but you definitely work more muscles and work the core muscles in more ways than you could with a single exercise.
These days with all of the core work I'm doing, I'm beginning to believe that the core is "core" to mobility and feeling good. I had been doing heavy weights over the last couple of years, but the other day I noticed when I was toting my heavy laptop across campus that it no longer pulls unconfortably on my body.
Best Wishes,
Dave

Sunday done! Hot yoga was great. My flexibility was the best it's been since my teens so I asked the teacher to crank up the heat.
Swim: I used to feel some pressure in my head when breathing. I guess it's from the cardio boost from 45 hours in a 105 degree room, but even at a pretty good clip no pressure. Just like taking a little stroll...

Friday after work jumped in the car and went with the wife to the Journey / Heart / Cheap trick concert...meaning we danced, cavorted, and got a serious contact high.
Woke up saturday and put in the fall / winter garden (chard, beets, cabbages, etc)
Dropped off the kids at noon and drove south to a wedding...meaning we danced, cavorted, and got a serious contact high.
Woke up Sunday and took the fam to church, finished building the built-in bunk-beds and am about to take the mutt for a walk.
Basically partied like a rock-star, and, because I'm in such better shape I now think to myself: Holy ****! people do this every weekend?....I'm going to bed early, and not waking up until the bags under my eyes go away...
