Cath-lab...Angiogram...double vision!!

So I went in to the local hospital yesterday for an angiogram.  My heart seems to be ok since the last time.  Here is the problem.  When they brought me back from the cath-lab I started to have double vision!  Never had it before (except when maybe I was drunk 35 years ago).  The nurses released me without me seeing a doctor for this.  It has gotten alittle better today but still not back to normal.  Wondering if could be the die through the vains or the happy juice they gave me.  I was awake for the procedure.  And yes, I do have a call in to the cardiologist for imput.  Anyone in the know please respond.  Thanks, Brian

Should just be the "happy juice" as you put it haha. The dye shouldn't cause any vision troubles but be sure to ask your cardio. as I'm in no way medically trained, just going from my rudimentary knowledge of anesthetics.

Brian,

Sometimes XRay Contrast can cause visual disturbances, it is very rare. I guess you are just very lucky.  I am glad that everything looks ok.  I will be interested in hearing what your Doc has to say.

JDM, just wondering how you know that Xray contrast could cause it?  It was one of my thoughts too.  Do you work in an area where you have heard or seen it occur?  Thanks, Brian  PS I am feeling better by the hour...seeing better too.
