Webster defines "Challenge" as a invitation to a contest. Well the challenge here is a individual challenge. So that being said how did you do on your individual goals of walk, run or crawl.

Here's mine Rode 302.3 miles

I'm still kind of new to the board. Is this an ongoing thing every month?

If so, my goal to run/walk for the month of Oct is 80 miles.  I'm only 2 1/2 weeks post op so I'll be starting of very slowly. I WILL hit my goal this month!!!!!
Then I will have to up it next month due to a 2 week cruise through the Caribbean. Alot of free time on the ship to work out. My wife and I already planned a number of very pyhisical land based activities. So, Next month 100+ miles between hiking ,walking, riding, swimming, and my wife is trying to get to do an arobics class with her on the ship. Cant see myself doing it though.

Have any of you done it?

Craig great job for 2 1/2 weeks out, I know people 2 1/2 years out not making that much effort. Yes this a ongoing monthly challenge and of course the IDGOMB is our daily challenge. Just another way to encourage, motivate each other while keeping ourselves accountable. I use to be a K-9 Officer in addition to being a First Responder so I've worked with guys like you, you must feel better at work getting thinner and healthier. Rocky Top

Hey RockyTop,

Pulled out my Big Chief tablet and went through the numbers and I broke 500 cycling miles for August.  My bike computer went out mid-month so don't have an exact number. My goal for Sept. is 500 more.

Congrats to you for breaking 300 miles man!! Let me just say that I know personally that 35 of those miles were frickin' killer milers, huh?

It looks like you've got a good start for Oct. with your 50 miler you did yesterday. AWESOME!!

Best of luck and keep on spinnin' RockyTop.

Anyone up for http://www.ragbrai.org ? Registration begins Nov 15.  Seven days, 471 miles with 22,500 feet of climb. But hey you get to go down hill too right?

It was 40F this morning. Frost in spots. Brrr.

Damn, thanks for letting me know Mike. Last year the RAGBRAI registration wasn't until February. Time to get Team Tour de Fat rounded up.

Are you going to ride RAGBRAI with us this year? By the way, nice CU jersey in your profile. Are you a Buffalo fan?

Sweet well it's a lottery deal I'm not sure how it works if you reg a group. I've got a half dozen people here and a couple cousins in CA that want to do it.

I also want to do a road bicycle tour of CO, something that includes Durango, maybe seven days.

2010 some friends and I are talking about running the Goofy Challenge at Walt Disney World.
