IGoffMB Saturday
50 minutes of jogging in the wilderness. That's it.
Wanted to do more, but I had to do two different demo lessons for my U.'s Open House. Cute little prospective students were participating in my lesson based on the English version of a Japanese Anime and then another lesson based on "Tears in Heaven." Work, but not exercise.

Well, our Mt. Lassen Peak (10.4k ft) hike got rained out, but us diehards weren't about to be stuck inside on a day we'd already gotten wife clearance for!
My best friend and I went for a hike at lower elevations. We ate wild grapes, part of a pine tree, made rope from the grape-vines, and a Cat-tail rush. Saw about 15 wild turkeys, Fire Newts, a herd of deer with a nice buck (my dad was hunting in the area yesterday, and was skunked!). Hiked for about four hours. It was really fun. I have to do it more often.
Looks like Lassen is out for the season. They undoubtedly got snow out of this weather pattern. With the elevation/temperature calculations I did, it's 35.7 degrees F colder on the peak than at my house, which means it was in the low 20s last night, and wet.
