The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
October 5th!

ongratulations to All for your accomplishments this past week!
I'm keeping A "Weekly Weigh-in" here as well as on the
New-Men’s-Only-Board
Because many of the Guys, b
oth here and there (newly arriving from OH)
Have used it for over a year
to keep track of their changes, and see how they and others are doing over a sustained period of time.

...just in your first weeks home? Hang in there,
It DOES GET EASIER!
.... just hitting your first stall?   It happens to many....
Eventually you will be able to scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And get a fairly clear picture of the fact that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!

Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for Me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!

But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------

Hop your Azz up on the Scales!

How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?

And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?

My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179

Me?-
188 (still up a pound...back to more exercise this week...

Best Wishes-

The last time I saw my weight on a scale that started with a 2 was back when Clinton was in office.  Today, 6 weeks after surgery, I saw 298.4 on the scale.  What a great feeling.
Back in January, I could not weigh myself on a home scale, and the one at my PCP office only went up to 350, and I tipped it, so I must of been 360.

BW 360/ SW 326 / Today.. 298

 You people disgust me! ;-)

Surgery--345

Now--232

Loss of 113 pounds in about 6 months. I guess that's about where I wanted to be but you know, you can never lose fat quick enough haha. I swear, I haven't been able to exercise and I still lose the weight so I really don't have anything to complain about I'm almost in the 220's! Haven't been in the 230's even since I was like 13 years old so getting to the 220's will be like I'm a kid again haha.

Hey guys, long time no see. I am still on a slow but steady decline. This is the 91st week of my weight loss journey. I went in for an adjustment last week as I have been really fighting myself as of late. I am now sneaking up on the Doctors Goal of 225#, but I am still firmly focused on MY goal of 195#. After I hit MY goal, I may even try to sneak on down to 189# just to make it an even 200# lost, but even if I just stabilize in the 195# - 200# range, I will have lost roughly ½ of my body weight. With that all being said, here are my results to date.

5Oct06          389.0   -           Initial Consult with Illinois Bariatric Clinic
30Jan07          359.6   -           Lap Banding Day
08Mar07         First Fill          Band is at 4cc’s
16Apr07         Second Fill     Band is now at 6cc’s
06Dec07          Third Fill        Band is now at 6.25cc’s
30Jan08          254.8   -           Happy Bandiversary!
03Mar08         Fourth Fill      Band is now at 6.70cc’s
07Aug08         Fourth Fill      Band is now at 7.10cc’s
29Sep08         Fourth Fill      Band is now at 7.40cc’s

28Sep08          232.8   -           Weight last Sunday
05Oct08         231.6   -           1.2# Loss since last Sunday

161.0# Loss overall
128.0# Loss since surgery
1.2#     Loss since last band fill

Starting BMI = 57.44
Current BMI = 34.20
