OT: Hand-Welded Batwing Garage Ceiling Chain-Hung Pullup Bar
Guys,
You know I'm into chains. I have barbells hanging from chains so I can bench alone in safety. Well this time I thought I'd make more of my equipment legless and space saving, so I weld up this chinup bar.
I had to cut a notch out of the top bar, bend it and then weld the cut place back together. The chains on the ends are only affixed through a single chain link which I squeezed in a vice which caused the links to spread so they would then fit neatly over the ends of bent steel bar.
Since the chain on the end are opposing and pull out away from the bar, the entire setup is stable when I do pullups.
This is for both wide latpull type pullups, as well as closer gripped "chinups."
Best Wishes,
Dave

I also finally posted some pictures on my page of some of my Truck'n Exercise Equipment if you have time check it out and give me some feed back. Took the pic's today still a little dizzy so not at my best by far. Rocky Top
Thanks, Rock!
Looks like you could hook up just about anything in the back of that truck with those hooks. Chains and straps are the way to go with weights and safety. I have a barbell, two dumbells and now even one end of an incline bench hanging from chains. For example,

Looks extreme, but if you weld you can do some pretty weird stuff.
