 Ok.....here's my first stupid question. I'm afraid to ask on the other board, lol.

Why would anyone go to Mexico and have wls surgery? From what I have read on the board alot of people do.
Just curious as to the reasoning and advantages.

Mexico is an attractive place to go for several reasons, 1) Some people want the surgery but don't meet insurance requirements.  2) Some people want a proceedure such as Vertical Sleeve, that is not covered by many insurance plans 3) Some people don't have insurance.

My impression is that they do a great job in Mexico, but the problem of follow up and continual care is signficant and a problem in some situations.

Also to your second NOT so stupid question .
My surgeon will not see you if you had your surgery in Mexico .
Take for instance Me .I had lap band . My surgeon said that she will not assume the responabilty of an another surgeon work , because you never know what they have done in there .In the end she could be opening herself up for one really big lawsuit. 

A picture does offer a third person perspective of how you look in other people eyes.( not that that should matter ) 
I know it always did when I saw  pictures of me .
