I was making a shake this morning, thinking about just how handy an immersion blender has been over this process. So, what have been your most helpful gagets?

1. Immersion Blender with a small food processor attachment.
2. Good running shoes
3. Zip-loc bags to hold single servings of protein powder that I keep in my backpack

I bought a pair of New Balance "walking" shoes back in the spring. They have a tan suede upper and an athletic shoe type sole. They look good enough to wear with my business casual work clothes and are great for walking in. So I can walk to and from work w/o having to worry about having acceptable shoes to change in to once I get there. I second the Zip-Lock bags. I use them to store grilled chicken and steak to eat on for a week or so cause I don't have the time or energy to cook every day.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Great question......here's a couple for me:

1. BBQ grill which I've used nearly every weekend (>6 months post-WLS) to grill of  my protein for the following week. Each weekend, I grill chicken breast, along with some type of beef and pork, put it in zip-locs then eat it the following week.

2. My bicycle, situp board and exercise ball

3. Condoms

PS: just kidding on number 3 above in case you thought I was serious

With the (assumed) lengthening of peckers post weight loss, where does one shop for the x large condoms Boner?

Pockets...To keep dried nuts, raisins, and beef jerkey in.  Thought I would use a blender.  They are great...but to much work to clean.  I now steal some of my daughter's smoothies from time to time.  Brian

Just a thought. You can screw a mason jar on to most standard blender bases. I hardly EVER use the glass that came with my blender anymore.

When I first started out I bought a Magic Bullet off of Ebay...my wife thought I was nuts.  Now I can't get it out of her hands!

Since I moved into the "real foods" I'd have to claim the little Tupperware "food storage" dealies with the nice tight lids are my go to.  I can take just ONE serving in a small unit and it's easier for me that way.  The "old" me would grab a decent size bowl and stuff it over-full, of course secure in the knowledge that one bowl equals one serving no matter what you say!

My George Foreman grill. And I have a pocket stick blender. No lie this thing is small enough to carry around. Just grab a glass and put the protein in and and then mix.

Beware it with syntrax it really makes a foam.

God the visual of a stick blender with foam sounds like a WLS ***** I gotta get out more.
