What's the key to gaining weight post RNY?
Evidently it's the same as gaining weight during any other peiod of your adult life?
10/6/08 - 255 lbs
Today - 263 lbs
How did I do it you ask? Could you achieve the same results you wonder?
Just eat a bunch of carbs. Eat when you're not really hungry. Eat right before bed time. Discontinue your exercise routine for a couple of weeks cause you're bored with it. That's how I did it.
Y'all commence the asskickin'.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
I'll bet that a LOT of that weight is water weight. When you eat low-carb habitually, your body becomes depleted of glycogen ("animal starch"; a quick source of glucose on depend). But just start adding carbs, especially in excess, and your body packs the glycogen back on, and every pound of glycogen causes your body to hold onto FOUR POUNDS of water,
I'll bet getting back on the straight-and-narrow will show quite rapid results. Good luck!

Yep, it's carbs-in-water and feces.
JFish, what could make exercise exciting for you? For me it was putting workout equipment in the garage, then setting up an old computer in the same garage to do the P90X Videos.
Then...
I don't even really like the exercise that much, but the heat and the chicks in hot yoga really make it exciting.
Anything else?
Then, there's the longrun stuff, if you continue working out like a fiend - like being superfit by any standards at near 47.
Don't you work with young athletes? Two years of work and you can show those boys how wimpy they are. Just get on your stationary bike and do 8 30 second sprints a day (build up to that). In three months, you'll be putting those boys to shame.

Damn it fish! You know the drill so get your ass back on track and continue your countdown to glory. You've come too far man to not nip this thing in the bud right here, right now. Bama, please pull out your lighter, yet quicker 12EEEE and give fish the "nudge."
I'm pullin' for ya fish! You're one special dude in my book!

I knew I could count on you guys to sound off. I know what I gotta do. I just gotta do it. Starting Monday, I go back to tracking calories, eliminating starches totally (no cheating), walking daily and getting some weight lifted. Just gotta get my mind right. Thanks, men. And if you haven't gotten a chance to kick my ass yet, go ahead. It's not to late.
