question
Let your doctor know tommorow. You probably have a stricture. 10% of RNY patients get them. You will be asked to go to a gastroenterologist. They will slightly put you out and "scope" your pouch. The scope will go past your pouch and there will be a balloon at the end of the scope. It will inlarge the area just past the pouch that has narrowed. Also do not freak out if you have to go back a second or third time for the procedure...also very common. Let us know how it turns out. Brian
Jerry like Brian said could be a stricture I had two no big deal in and out in about 30 min.. But only being out a month you might be eating the wrong foods I was just starting soft foods? But 1 month out is when strictures are common. So way on safety and if you've been keeping a daily journel bring it with you so they can identify a pattern. Good Luck, Rocky Top
At a month out, I was still on pureed foods so it wasn't much of a problem. Now, if I eat too fast, take too big a bite, or don't chew it to oblivion, It hurts like a son of a gun. Tough lesson for me. I'm a former "power eater" (Huge bites, chew twice, swallow fast, get the next load in before the first one hits bottom)
