Do you have a "bucket list"?

I watched the movie a couple of weeks ago on DVD and it got me thinking about my own bucket list for life post WLS.  I certainly hope I don't have a terminal illness but I do look at my life after surgery as a rebirth - a time to set aside all of my inhibitions, bad habits, inhibitions, etc.

So what's on my list?  For starters, I've always wanted a bike and I've informed the wife not to be surprised of a new addition to the garage when I hit goal.  Another thing that is kind of silly is always wanting a tatoo.  I keep finding myself searching for designs that I like online.

Another big addition to the list is finishing my college degree.  I worked nights at t a truckstop (where I met my wife) to pay my way through two years of school.  A promising job came along and I hated being the fattest guy in class so I took the job.  A better job followed, and then another and now I find myself in a very comfortable career with no degree.  Well today, I was formally accepted at East Carolina University and plan to begin taking classes online in the spring!!

There's other activities that I look forward to - a day at the beach or water park, fitting in the stadium seats at a Panthers game, etc.   How about the rest of you?  Anything on your bucket list?

Main thing right now, if all goes according to plan it may soon transpire, is sitting my formerly much fatter ass into a coach airplane seat and not having to have an extension.  May get thrown off the plane for celebrating but I'll take my chances!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Hey Dragon,

Got all kinds of things on my bucket list including riding the top 25 highest peaks here in Colorado on my bike....13 down already. I'd like to ride from Washington to Florida on my bike. I'd like to climb a 1000 foot high rock. Hang glide, jump out of a plane, take a trip down the Amazon river, see Lance's comeback in the Tour de France. Too many others to mention.

Let's just say that WLS has opened up a whole new world of adventure for me. It's awesome.

I had a bucket list before the movie, and long before surgery. It didn't change much post-op, except I gave up on getting my 2nd degree Tae Kwon Do black belt because of arthritis. I can't kick without inflicting significant amounts of pain on myself.

It all evened out, because WLS was the impetus to become a fireman and EMT. The arthritis doesn't bother me too much doing those.
