Green ????

Im 2 months and 14 days out after my GBS . My poooh is dark green,what the heck. Is it the vitamins Im taking ? Before surgery if I drank anything that was purple I would experience light green poooh,but all I drink now is water or crystal light lemonade/ fruit punch. Has any of yall experienced this if so what is causing this ?

Don't be alarmed at pooping a rainbow of colors.  As long as it is not red, as in bloody, just be happy to be crappy!

Iron supplements or a diet high in iron can cause green stools. Also green bile in the liver, which is used to absorb fat ,can cause it especially since our food is passing through the intestines faster than normal (shorter intestine) so less time to have our stools changed from green to brown.

Pretty normal sounding to me but, as always, ask your doc at your 3 month checkup.

Mine was that way for many months.  I too was freaking out.  I think it was the iron...or the Hulk effect!!  No worries.
