realistic goal at 1 year
I went from 479 on initial consult, lost 52 pounds over the 3 months prior to WLS 3 then another 212 over the next 12 months. You should plan on being at goal or thereabouts on your 1 year anniversary imo. Your WLS honeymoon will most likely be over by then and additional weight loss becomes more difficult once you're back to "normal."
Keep up the great work!

No, *I'm* a midget!! How tall ARE you? I always thought that I was 5' 5 1/2", but when they measured my height 13 mos. ago, I turned out to be only 5'3".
I was 315# in Sep 2007, 290# on day of surgery, and at 11 mos. post-op, I'm down to 184#. BMI is still over 30, though not too far off. A bit slower than I'd like, but I just have 40 more pounds to lose.

Just guessing...205-215. You look like a large frame. I thought I was a large frame, but the nutritionist said I was a medium frame...I thought he was nuts till I saw for myself. Because of your before weight, I think you may have an extra amount of excess skin. The sky's the limit on weightloss. Enjoy the ride. Brian
I'm a little past 11 months out. You can look at my ticker and see where I started and where I'm currently located. I weighed 303 at 6 months out. I've been pleased a*****h with the journey so far, but I haven't lost a single pound in the last month. And it's mostly because I've started eating to many damned carbs instead of continuing to fill the empty spaces with water. I'm back to walking 3-4 miles a day and am working on the carb consumption end. Hopefully I'll start working the weight back down. When I was 6 months out, I wanted to be at 225 by a year, but it's not gonna happen. Right now I'd be happy with 245.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
