Have you ever noticed
that weight loss centers seam to be strategically place between and Burrito Shop and Chns Take Out? Do you think they do this on purpose???? DO you think somewhere with the minds of a warped corporate world some one site back in his or her chair and THINK?? Hmmmm,, lets put out new WEIGH****CHERS center conveniently beside TEMPTATION.. Do you think there plan is to catch us as we walk out of the places feeling guilty?? Or do you think they're getting a kick back every time one of us gives up after a hard weigh in and decides to binge??? I wonder who thought of this concept??? Shouldnt we shoot them? Is it all just a test?? Maybe its the point for us to choose.. BIG BURRITO STUFFED and TOPPED with a MOUND of CHEESE.. and a HUGE GLOB of sour cream. Or something from JENNY that LOOKS like CHICKEN, is SUPPOSED to be CHICKEN but tastes a little like the old tires I took off the car last spring??

Fast food businesses and Chinese food businesses and all other kinds of businesses including weight loss center businesses put their businesses where they can get people in the door. Which means they all congregate at the same intersections or around the same shopping malls or whatever. The only conspiracy is that they all want to make a little money. And to do that you gotta go where people are. One of my best friends in the whole world started a fried chicken business from scratch. And now he's a millionaire as if that really means anything today. But I can tell you that he spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to put his business on the same road that people had to drive down to get to WalMart and Home Depot.
But you break the mold if you want to. When you start your weight loss center or your fast food franchise, either or both, go ahead and put it next to the sewage treatment plant in your town. That way no one can accuse you of conspiring to trap them. I'll circle the joint in my black helicopter trying to herd the sheep in the door for you.

Two things about what JFish said. The city in which I live, (like all cities) has zoning laws. We can't dicriminate against porn shops...but we can decide where to allow them. My city has designated porn shops down wind and within 1 block of the city's sewer farm.
Concerning WalMart, I know some developers who will give the land away freely to WalMart to build. The key is they get to keep all the prime land around the WalMart center!!

Except for Houston. For some reason, they decided that zoning laws were unneccessary. There are porn shops/peep shows within a block or two of the Astrodome and Reliant Stadium. Don't ask me how I know.
