Ok WEIRD Body fat %s
I went to the gym today and today was the day they were measuring body fat %s (they do that every few months). Anyway, I got on their scale and they did 2 %s on me, one for the standard reading and one for the athletic reading (because I work out more then 3 times a week).
Anyway the first reading (standard) read about 12 percent, which is a bit high for me, but it's ok, and then they did the athletic reading and that one showed up at 3.6 percent....I did it again and got the same result. I know that is not right, so I'm guessing I'm somewhere in the middle? Either that or the machines are full of **** and my gym wasted several hundred dollars on a crapola scale.
I know these machines are not 100 percent accurate, but I would like to get an idea of where I"m at in body fat percentages.

Scott,
Most accurate way to get your body fat measured is to be weighed in water. Simple math: dry weight - wet weight / 100. If you have access to a University that has a good Phys. Ed. dept. they may have a tank equipped for doing so. If you don't want to take a dip then you'll have to trust the machines.
Before my tail feathers get singed at one point in my younger life I was a phys ed many, many moons ago and there was a tank like I'm talking about in where people were tested on the treadmill. With the scales that now measure the body fat the tanks may have gone the way of the Ozzy. Not the singer but the Osbourne computer.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
