Quick intro
Hello everyone,
I just *found* this Men's Forum and wanted to just say hello and introduce myself.
As you can see from the avatar I'm a James Bond fan and had RNY Open procedure done at the end of July 2008. I had my consult last October 2007 and I was ~324. Day of surgery I was 309. I go for my 3 month follow-up tomorrow and suspect I'll be around 256. I'm *not* a person who steps on the scale weekly or daily. Kinda like my 401K - I don't want to look at it that frequently but force mysel to look a few times to make sure I'm on goal/plan :). I step on the scale monthly and usualy after our local WLS support group meeting.
I've kept the whole WLS RNY news to myself. I've told only a small handful of close friends and immediate family but noone at work or aquaintences. It's one of those private things that, frankly, I don't *want* to hear anyone's unsolicited (and usually uneducated) opinions.
I'm a new Dad, loving every minute of it, and my little daughter will be 1 year old around Thanksgiving.
Hope to participate more with meaningful content and questions over time.
Regards,
-GD

Welcome to this board. Lots of changes here in the last 6 months, but they guys here will help in any way they can. Glad you are doing well and congrats on being a dad who will now stand a much better chance of being around to see all of the milestones.
