How'd ya do over halloween?

Thanks for being honest about your pigfest, Scott. The Halloween temptation continues as I see where all halloween candy is now 70% off in the grocery stores. These pigfests can last for weeks if we let them. A 5 pound weight gain is easy and it takes a ****load of exercise to take 5+ pounds back off.

I made it without any candy, I passed out butter fingers(my favorite) snickers and peanut butter cups. I was not even tempted to have a piece. I have lost 18 pounds since my surgery 2 weeks ago, so  I am glad I was good.

Did pretty good.  Had 2 pieces maybe.  The day after Halloween went to the local diner.  Gave the rest of the candy to all the employees...get it out of the house.  Brian

yeah the F-tards at work of course had all kinds of candy sitting around. I had my fair share of DOTS, Tootsies and those wonderfull orange tootsie-pops. Other than that Friday went out clubbing and had tons of Captain's and RedBull and Miller Lights. Saturday night I had a party and had plenty of Flying Dog ales. Right back on track though on Monday with protien shakes and soups.

I hate when people bring sweets and crap to work. Makes it so tough. Luckily they don't bring beer to work....

Made it through with non at all.  Don't want to find out if I would dump on the sugar -- at this point I am just presuming I would.  I almost bought some sugar free peanut butter cups the other day, but looked at the nutritional info and at around 150 calories each, I decided I didn't need it.

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

"looked at the nutritional info and at around 150 calories each, I decided I didn't need it." Now "I" just need to adhere to your wisdom!

I didn't.  I ate candy, cookies, birthday cake (mine), and am sitting here posting this while eating taffy.  I didn't like sugar stuff when I was fat, now I love it!

I'm glad everyone is being honest.  It makes me feel better about myself!  LOL  I act like a crack addict on his 3rd day of withdrawl around peanut butter cups!

Hey Boner....don't beat yourself up too much...we need you in here for your excellent info!!
I did really good over Halloween...resisted the huge temptation of eating chocolate (my fave also) even tho my lovely wife had (and still has) 2 huge bags of chocolate bars on our kitchen counter. I think my sweet tooth was transferred to her during my surgery!! But I also am scared of the dumping syndrome...so I laid off the candy (so far)!!!

Thanks, Wizard. I've actually done better this Halloween than I did last year where I went bonkers on the baby snickers. Having the "lay off the frickin" Halloween candy challenge" helped me this year cause, as my sister in Iowa told me, you can fail your own challenge.

The bite-sized candy bars are cool if you can limit the number you inhale. Therein lies my problem.....controlling the volume. Same for those 100 calorie packs of cookies. Cool if you eat just one bag but not so cool when you eat the entire box. Might as well just bought a bag of Oreos and saved a few bucks. Better yet, I need to avoid them altogether and not drag the little bastages home with me in the first place.
