cold medicine??

Hey, I didn't think about it untill  now...I know I'm not suppose to have "advil" or regular aspirn...only tylenol.  As my whole family now has colds, i've been quick to get on all the zicam stuff and been popin Advil cold & sinus for the past few days. Is this advil bad for your stomach?

any thoughts?

pass on all the NSAIDs. Ibuprofin, advil, aleve, etc. I used Nyquil (day / night) and was ok. For a really stuffed up sinus I would use a spray, but I don't like having to do it, so I use it infrequently.

I had a cold a few weeks back and was not sure what i could take.. Dr did say the nyquil would be find it just might knock me on mya.. , and then buy the tyylenol cold productus..Which worked just fine.. Good luck

I agree with Scott. Doc said anything in the Tylenol family should be pretty safe as far as the stomach is concerned.  if you have other issues, like HBP, that is something else all together.

hey guys, thanks for the advise!...I've thought about everything up till this and I realized I was probably screwin up mid cold...thankfully, I'm close to being over it...nothing that a little Long Island Ice tea hasn't helped...lol...just a little more alcohol than Niquil!

My wife recommends Zyrtec for me, I've knocked everything that has come to me with it in fine fashion.  And since we've got school aged kids, sickness comes quite often.

thanks preach for the advise...seems like when I have a cold, I'm happy to buy "everything" that might work...I absolutely spare no expense!...lol
