Here I am...not having surgery today

I agree Bob. But I would still be pissed.

You have it made, when my surgery was put off (because the doctor had an emergency surgery to do) it took 4 months for a new date.  A couple weeks is a breeze, but we all do understand how you feel. 

One piece of advice that I got while I was fuming helped me and was so true is:  "5 years from now none of this will matter, you will be thinner and healthier weather your surgery is this week or 6 months from now."

Thanks for that, yes it's true I wouldn't want to arrest on the table or stroke out.  But my primary's PA handed me the referral for the surgeon.  She could have consulted with the doctor a month or two into the process and said hey, he should have these tests done as well, even if I was not having surgery.  Anyway, I will stop now, I have calmed down.  I'll take my medicine like a big boy.
