BAD leg cramps at night.

Are you taking a calcium channel blocker for hypertension, per chance? They also can cause leg cramps by messing up your electrolyte balance as previously discussed.
I can't tolerate CCBs for that reason. I ate bananas until I had a desire to swing through the treetops before I called the doctor to complain.

My wife got real bad leg cramps after her rny. After eatting about a trillion bannanas and seeing several Dr's we got turned on to Magnesium like some of the guys said above. Since she has been taking them the leg cramps have disapered. we found a calcium mag pill at wal-mart that we both take.

Thanks for the tips everyone...I've heard Magnesium from a few of you...so I just ran out of calcium supplements and bought one that includes Calcium + Magnesium + Zinc....so maybe this will help.... I will report back in a few weeks...
