Bob, you got it... some of my friends are saying they're seeing the 'old' me... from 10 years ago... it's pretty cool.  My confidence is definately back...amazing how little things make a big difference..  ok.. some pretty big... but just things like fitting in a booth at restaurants... tying my own shoes...  not caring if I find a close parking space a Walmart :)  .

Funny thing... we were going thru the store the other night, and my wife was pushing the cart. She kept hanging back I thought... I said Honey, you don't have to go so slow... I can walk faster now..... she says... I'm not going slow.. you just keep leaving me!

And a year ago... I wasn't sure how I'd exercise with my leg and back probs!

Ah.. just wait til next year!

Hmmmmm........ I wonder what running feels like... I vaguely remember it....or at least... a bike???

Dale, it is awesome the changes you have been able to make in your life.

My weight loss is on a smaller scale but they have been huge for me and I have only lost half of the weight. This has got to be out of this world for you. I am so happy for you. Just getting to work again has to be a huge boost to your self esteem. And it is written all over your face. Way to go!

Thanks Marc,
I've learned there is no smaller scale!  I've come to realize that on smaller guys, their weight is just as big a problem as my large amount is.  It's all about where you start, and what you're used to.

Thanks so much!

Dale,

Congratulations, man!  What a change there is in you from last year.  You were having surgery just about the time I started seriously investigating surgery.  At the time, you and the guys here were the first men I had ever "known" to have WLS... now, a year later, you and these guys are still out there setting great examples of what we men can do when we decide to change our lives.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks John, never thought I'd be much of an inspiration, but I'll tell ya.... (cliche alert, cliche alert!) "If I can do it, anyone can!"

:)

Thanks Highlanderthal.  It's all about doing exactly what the doc says, and as the guys here always preached... sip sip sip.. walk walk walk.  Gotta keep my fluids up, protein up, and MOVE... if I stop either one... weight loss stops.
