IDGOMB THursday FART (SKIING)

OK, that was a fun evening.  I am able to ski again and did pretty good.  I dressed in tons of clothes and didn't freeze. My daughter went with and she did great too.  I had so much fun skiing with her.  I only munched once and that was getting off the lift.  lol.

So, four hours of skiing.

Hey Stephan, glad you had a great time.  Starting to ski again after WLS was one of my highpoints too.  If you want some company out there let me know ( I have a season pass).  I also joined the Mt. La Crosse Ski Patrol this year.  My shifts are Tuesday 3-6 and Saturday 6-9 and I plan to ski two other times each week.

That sounds like fun.  Let's try to do it one of these days in January or February.

Glad you got back on your skis.The first winter after my surgery I was down 140lb from the prior winter to 180# and when I took my artic cat 900 mnt cat sled out for the first time I almost flew of the back when I pinned the throttle. It felt like it gained a hundred horespower since it didnt have my320 pound butt holding it back. Enjoy your new freedoms

I see you are from Fairfield.  I'm from Davis originally and will be going there next weekend.  I hope to ski up in Lake tahoe, but I hear there hasn't been any snow there yet this year.  Will be up there for two weeks so hopefully there will be some improvements for skiing.

There is o snow. But for the last few years there hasnt been much before xmas. Four years ago I drove my motor home to cisco grove campground near donner .when I got there a couple days before xmas with the sleds in tow there wasnt a speck of snow on the ground by jan 1 it had snowed 16 feet. I almost had to leave the motorhome there because I had to get back to work and the camground owner was having trouble keeping up with the snow and trying to dig rvs out .That is one xmas I wont forget. At one point caltrans gave up on keeping 80 opened and closed it for 6 hours.

Stephen we did get  a few inches yesterday.

That is great!!!  I think that it is snowing there a bunch right now this week from what I could see.  I am definately looking forward to some good mountain skiing.  The bluffs here are nice, but.... I want some longer runs, and maybe even some moguls or two.
