Odd Christmas Gift

Am I the only one who thinks she's being a smartass?  MAYBE, if she were not in the medical field, but she knows what she's doing.  I'd thank her, tell her it was delicious, and then remark on how you've got to hit the department store on the way home that evening because your belt has, once again, become too large.  LOL 

I think you're being oversensitive. The point is she got you something. It wasn't like she gave you a bag of coal. Just take it for what it is and if you don't think you'll ever use it just give it to a family member or someone that will use it (hell you can mail it to me if you want!).

I remember one guy at work, every year, would hand out little gifts to everyone in the office. One year he gave out little grooming kits to the guys that had a nail clipper, comb and something else (I can't remember). Well, a few guys complained about it and said why did he even bother because it was so "cheapie" and probably only costed a dollar. Well, at least the guy took the time to go out and thought about everyone enough to actually spend that dollar on all of us.

I don't complain about gifts. If I can't find a use for it or if it's not my style I'll give it to someone that can use it (not as a re-gift but just as a here's something you might make better use of).
