TWTTCWFC-M = to walk to the cafeteria with my fellow cube-mates.

It was freakin' amazing. The last time I walked to the cafe i was aching, sweaty, breathing heavy, out of breath, and could feel the blood pressure. Today was my first day actually back at the office and I'm making it a point to go with them every day just for the extra walk. So I went and I was striding much faster than I ever have, I was able to talk to them while walking without having to catch my breath every sentence, I was not one bit achy or complaining. I strode the way back the same way and sat down in my cube with a huge smile on my face. I then proceeded to eat my 3oz can of tuna, yum.

Way to work, Dre!

Here's mine:

Morning: 8 X 200 meter sprints.

Here eregonomics and form are important. My coach, who is a posture specialist tells me that if I touch the back of my neck and my spine at the top of my torso, that the two should be on a single flat plane, no curve whatsoever. Ankle bones should come up to the butt AS SOON as the ball of the foot hits the ground. NO PERCEIVED PUSHOFF whatsoever.

Night: Bikram Hot Yoga. Last lesson of the year. There must have been fifty people in there.

Best Wishes,

Dave

In general this is what happens with WLS...You lose weight, which causes you to move better...which in turn causes you to lose more weight...which causes you to move even more and further each time.  So instead of a spiral downward (as we gain weight), you spiral upward.  The more you lose, the better you move.  It opens up a whole new world for us...Hang on for the ride.

Way to go Dre!  It never ceases to amaze me how the little things we can now do post op that we could not do before surgery come to mean so much to us.  Walking with coworkers, completeing physical agility test,  playing with your kids, playing with the significant other  being full after eating six shrimp, buying smaller clothes etc.  Every little thing is a big victory over our past lives.

Closest thing I got to a workout today was fighting with the motherfricking Christmas tree getting it down and boxed up.  Tree looked pathetic.  One ornament and a string of red garland thrown around a few of the limbs facing the living room.  Think we turned the lights on once.  Had too much going on to get into holiday spirit.  Took @#$^&!# tree to Goodwill tonight then after supper found a 3' tall, one piece, pre-lit, will fit back in the same box tree at Target for half price.  Fits nicely on same shelf as the five stick in the ground decorations for outside.  Maybe next Christmas will be better.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Wow, and I thought I was bitter during the holidays! LOL. I actually went out after xmas and bought a tree at 75% off, figured next year with all this weight loss i might be more into it. We'll see. If not, oh well not a huge loss.

That is a cool NSV. It's amazing how much excess weight keeps you from doing the normal things like walking. I am sure you will be experiencing many more victories in the coming months.
