Stepped on the scales and was at 184!  That puts me at a pounder under goal! Nine months and six days post surgery.

Pretty smooth. Eating normal foods now, protioning is actually kinda neat. having trouble getting in all the water. I get pissed at calories and other crap that is in all kinds of food (yeah i've become quite the label reader)

Down 53lb's as of this past Saturday (that's 6 weeks officially). I'm loving walking around with people. I've met a chick that I dig quite a bit. Met two RNY'ers this past weekend which was really cool cause I haven't actually hung out with anyone that's had surgery yet.

I've not lost much in the mid-section yet. My pants aren't to loose or anything though I can wear some stuff I had hanging around that didn't fit well before. 120-something to goal and determined to make it, but not rushing. Can't wait to get cleared to work out though. Hopefully next month. Trying to figure out where I want to go.

Awesome Don. I know you have had a lot going on. This must be one big positive. Hope you are enjoying.

I do not know why I am always surprised when people meet their goal. I guess I just have a hard time believing it will happen for me. Thanks for putting this out there.

Marc,

Thanks man!

I think you might find it surprising and have a hard time believing it is doable because of listening to the internal "fat man" inside all of us.  It will happen for you just work your program, get your excecise in, get out of all your bad eating habits and be patient.  I know - being patient ain't one of my strenghts either!

A fart if I ever smelled one!!  We all know the hard work you have put in over the last 9 months.  Following your path from TX to GA, I really thought you would go back to emotional eating (grazing).  We all here on this board know how hard it is to not let that take over, or to start in bigtime on the sugar and carbs.  Enjoy the ride...you deserve it.

Thanks Brian!  It do smell rather funky up in here!

Agree last nine months have been a *****  Have to confess to some grazing going on.  Sig other and I keep bowl of SF candy and mints on the coffee table.  I know, I know, sugar free does not equal calorie free.  Laxative effect of too many sugar substitutes does have its benefits!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
